I am wondering why somebody does not create a band-aid fix, add-on invention of a new, newspaper and magazine standard, USB smart card product (key chain format), for e-newspaper distribution, using [standard family keys/ issue]. This will support:
1). 1 [unique public key pair/ subscriber].
2). remote download only to authorized customers of 1 [family key encrypted media/ issue].
3). spot encrypted Web readers.
4). blocking out of Google and Yahoo spiders or robot, Web crawlers.
5). e-newspaper clip-outs, stored inside the USB smart card.
6). electronic 'paid content,' with archival storage and sharing only by paid subcribers.

I am wondering why the large US newspapers facing bankruptcy and possible loss of the 1st AMEND- MENT protected FREE PRESS, cannot create a new newspaper industry 'band-aid fix,' 100% add-on industry standard of USB smart card (key ring format), supportave of 100% 'paid content' in family key encrypted format, featuring:
1). 1 unit [family secret key/issue], global Internet/Web downloaded at reading time, or in advance into each USB smart card.
2). 1 unit of [public key-private key pair/paid subscriber] factory pre-installed per USB smart card, for remote authentication with Web servers, download to 'paid subscribers.'
3). Spot family key, secret key encryption for each downloaded issue, which is decrypted real-time at the Web HTML reader.
4). Archiving of family key encrypted 1 [family key/issue], newspaper content, with option of USB smart card (key ring format) e-newspaper clippings.
5). Blocking out of Google (R) and Yahoo (R) robots or spiders from access, since, cipher-text will be retrieved. This will give a 'paid content' and 'for profit' 100% electronic newspaper.

I am wondering why somebody in the printed newspaper business, does not look at a ‘band-aid fix’ interim solution for e-newspaper, for profit, paid content, of combining together:
1). USB smart cards for PC’s (keyring style), holding of ‘shared family keys/issue,’ and standardized for the entire e-newspaper paid content industry,
2). Web servers of Olive (R ) Corp.‘s e-newspaper in HTML format,
3). Web servers of Textuality (R ) Corp’s e-newspaper in ‘streaming bit map,’
4). Adobe Corp’s e-book format (must be downloaded over-night),
5). Existing PC hardware under Windows XP, Vista.
Such a combination will be ‘add-on’ tech for a very fast, real-time downloaded, standardencrypted, e-newspaper of ‘paid content,’ which could also be archived and re-read, and could be shared among users, but,would be denied to Google (R ) and Yahoo (R ) search services due to‘cipher text’ encryption.
I am a FREE PRESS and 1st AMENDMENT advocate, and wish to see healthy newspapers around the world, with for profit ‘paid content’ high enough to give financial security to the publishers and reporters reporting of a good faith effort at God’s whole TRUTH.

The company of Texterity (R ) Corp. was mis-spelled as Textuality (R ) Corp..
Also, there is a huge download time difference per communications

CASE 1: newspaper style (95% text and 5% low-rest color graphics/page), best met by Olive (R ) Corp. type of HTML or Web-style pages.
CASE 2: news magazine style (95% hi-rest, color graphics, and 5% fonts based text), best met by broadband MODEM supported, Texterity (R ) Corp. type of low-res, post-script file, ‘streaming bit map,’ giving a ‘thumb through’ the color magazine, e-magazine, on-line reading approach. But, Web style ‘thumbing through’ (HTML transport on underlined URL’s) is lost.
My understanding is that Texterity (R ) Corp. takes actual newspaper and
magazine postscript files for hardcopy, and at their own server,
re-processes them in low-res for screen graphics, screen fonts.
CASE 3: very hi-res, color graphics (e.g.; National Geographic standard color print graphics), best met by over-night down-load, Adobe BookAdobe Acrobat (R ) format e-book format, with fancy ‘simulated font’ support. Here the downloaded fonts, may be custom fonts, vs. NY Times font, or LA Times Gothic font.
Also ‘thumbing around’ via Web Style, hyper-text transport mouse
clicking upon underlined URL addresses, is also lost.
Exactly which format will ‘sell’ for what digital medium, is yet to be established in the market. A print industry-journalism industry standard USB smart card (key ring format), will be an easy add-on hardware solution, to give [family key/issue],‘paid content,’ under paid e-subscription controls, plus will automatically block-out Google (R ) and Yahoo (R ) free spider-roboticpage searches, by submitting family key encrypted (cipher-text). Any through-put problems, can be handled by ‘spot encryption.’

My understanding of the older hardcopy news-paper industry finances was a ‘rule of thumb’for daily A.M. newspapers of:

This newspaper costs and profit formula, broke down in the late 1990’s, from:
CASE 1: Craig’s List, a non-profit, giving out FREE e-classified ads (http://www.craigslist.com/).
CASE 2: Google (R ) taking FREE LUNCH digital media, feeding it
into its FOR PROFIT Web browser engine, and making huge
profits in fully paid and FOR PROFIT, ‘directed search’ or highly
focused search, based upon a custom per customer collected
‘marketing preferences database,’ which collects every type of
personal search data on its customers possible. This highly
sensitive database, is allegedly protected by weak US corporate
privacy laws, but, is obviously a privacy issue, and is undoubtedly
subject to government and private party leaks.
Google (R ) has taken FREE LUNCH hardcopybooks to feed its FREE
LUNCH search engine,and even FREE LUNCH e-newspapers, also feeding
its FREE LUNCH search engine, notpaying 1 penny for content
creation!!!!! This rings of Napster’s (R ) early attempts to violate US
Federal copyright laws.
To compete with both Google (R ) and Craig’s List(R ), the US newspapers and magazines, offering paid content, PAID LUNCH digital media, will have to go with ‘cipher text’ format or encryption methods, otherwise a monthly at home newspaper rate of$45.00 [US $/month/home delivered newsapper], will be customer dropped. The daily at homedelivered NY Times was about y. 2008$55.00 [US $/month/home delivery]!!!!
Replacing high quality and integrity, PAID LUNCH PAID CONTENT newspapers for FIRST AMENDMENT support and publishers and reporters brave enough to pursue a good faith effort, at God’s whole TRUTH(e.g. Watergate scandal, e.g. anthrax mailings), withFREE LUNCH entertainment, is not a wise trade!!!!

My final blogging post is that this is rather technical material
combining together a modern inter-discliplinary study,
of both: academic journalism studies, plus
computer science and engineering, academic studies.
The 1st AMENDMENT and W. European FREE PRESS and
freedom of expression legal issues are building
foundation teaching analogy wise, higher priority (with
proper subsets of both 'free content', 'paid content', and
even 'private content' possibly being custom encrypted
and possibly being hidden text or steganography), but,
the computer science and engineering issues are important
used as a form of 'cryptography glue' to adhere a top-most
Digital Rights Management (DRM) layer.
The public key cryptography is used as a 'digital
glude' to adhere to the foundation of constitutional
law, a top-most layer of Digital Rights Management
(DRM) controlled, 'paid digital content' and
'free content,' as well as 'private content.'
The Digital Rights Management (DRM) layer
can even be a standard superset, ASCII menu
program specifying 'content creator,' check-boxed
off, legal copyright issues, which
may or may not be 'computer translated' into
various lower-level DRM technical support
The relevant foundation layer, or the constitutional
layer, is defined by the foundation layer of:
US Constitution in the US,
and various other typical Parliamentary government
forms in W. Europe.
Journalism professionals, even younger ones with
e-journalism backgrounds may be over their heads
in techno jargon, 1st AMENDMENT attorneys will
be out of field, and computer science majors and
engineering majors will not appreciate the more
important political/legal/constitutional issues
Journalism professionals may wish to form a
journalism 'study group' (with constitutional law
advisement) within the current, computer
industry's trusted computing group (http://www.tcg.com/),
started by the world's 5 biggest computer
manufacturers. The initial 'USB smart card
(key ring format)' is an easy starting point for
the entire world newspaper and magazine industry.
I forsee future 'cloud computing' based public
key cryptography, as being based upon future
public key cryptography standards, also
advancing to standardized, smart cards with
will be a future option, for very hi-security
purposes, phrased as 'something unique
you are (bio-ID), something unique you know
(password/passphrase/passcode), and something
unique you have (smart card, possibly with a
LCD 50% passcode display, the other 50%
being memorized passcode) ).
